Mouse Trap
For me, this was one of the best board games I ever had. There was just so much to do with this game. Gather the family round the table and over the space of about 40 minutes you built this wonderful contraption. Every piece was a joy , from the bright green boot hanging off the lamppost, the rickety staircase, the bath tub and that final see-saw catapult leading to the mouse trap.
Even more comedy moments came when the contraption was half built and someone would nudge the table setting it off accidentally, or when you finished the game and at the crucial moment something was just a little out of line and mousetrap didn't fall.
Even more fun could be had replacing the diver with various other items that could be catapulted into the wash tub, or possibly further afield ( if we got lucky). It's still fun now and surprisingly on my copy all the pieces and board have lasted incredibly well with only a few breakages.
